Fortinet - a market-leading network security provider and worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions– today announced that new IDC research data confirms that the company has again ranked No. 1 in worldwide UTM factory revenue for Q1 2009, fueled by continued adoption of its FortiGate™ network security appliances by all-sized enterprises, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and telecommunication carriers. This marks the 13th consecutive quarter Fortinet has garnered this coveted market leadership position. This data makes Fortinet the global factory revenue leader for 13 consecutive quarters. All of the capabilities need not be utilized, but the functions must exist inherently in the appliance.
