SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 3, 2012 - Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) – a world leader in high-performance network security - today announced that new IDC Tracker research data positions Fortinet as the number one vendor in worldwide UTM factory revenue for Q1 2012, published on June 29, 2012. This data marks the 25th consecutive quarter Fortinet has maintained its leadership position.

Data in the latest IDC Worldwide June 2012 Security Appliance Tracker indicated:
• Fortinet leads the market with 18.9% UTM revenue share
• Fortinet is the overall leader in UTM factory revenue for Q1 2012
• Fortinet is the total units shipped leader in 4 of the 5 super regions tracked
• Fortinet leads the market in revenue in 5 of the 9 tracked UTM price-bands

In the first quarter, Fortinet extended its overall market share as measured by revenue for UTM and achieved leadership in total units shipped in several countries. This is important to note as IDC cites UTM as one of the leading growth drivers for network security – a market IDC predicts will be worth $10.1B by 2016.
