Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a world leader in high-performance network security – today announced that three experts from Fortinet’s FortiGuard® Global Security Research Team will be sharing their most recent researches on threats and vulnerabilities at the Black Hat Europe 2012. This event, which is part of the biggest and most important security conference series in the world, will be held at the Grand Krasnopolsky Hotel on March 14-16, 2012, in Amsterdam - Netherlands.

Fortinet security researchers will present the following research papers:

• "An attacker’s Day Into Virology: Human vs Computer"

  Topic: Guillaume Lovet, Threat Response Manager, will examine virus behaviors such as infection methods and attack strategies, highlighting similar patterns and differences between the characteristics of malicious computer code and prolific human virus strands.

  When: Thursday, March 15th at 3:30 pm in Foyer Room

• "Breeding Sandworms: How To Fuzz Your Way Out of Adobe Reader’s Sandbox"

  Topic: Guillaume Lovet and Zhenhua Liu, Vulnerability Researcher, will expose how they circumvented Adobe Reader’s sandboxing technology, called Adobe Reader X Protected Mode.

  When: Friday, March 16th at 3:30 pm in Grand Ballroom

• "The Kelihos Botnet"

  Topic: The spam bot Kelihos, which was thought to be dismantled, is still active and capable of sending high volumes of spam. Kyle Yang, AV Engine Development Manager, will closely examine how the botnet’s p2p infrastructure has evolved and what new functionality can be expected from the revived attack going forward.
